Wasim made a flying visit to meet club officials and sign his contract

Pakistan veteran paceman Wasim Akram has signed a one-year deal with Hampshire.
A club spokesman confirmed on Wednesday to the BBC Sport Website Wasim had agreed terms with the Division Two championship outfit.
The left-armer will cover for Australian spinner Shane Warne, who is serving a one-year ban after being found guilty of taking a banned diuretic.
But Wasim, 36, is not certain to fill the captaincy position made vacant by Warne.

"Wasim Akram has signed a one-year contract with Hampshire," the spokesman said.
"He flew in just before midnight on Tuesday to meet with club officials, put pen to paper before flying out to St Lucia to play in a double wicket competition.
"Wasim has not been offered the captaincy, but it it is fair to say he is in the running with the likes of John Crawley.
"The club should be in a position to make an announcement later in the week."
It will be Wasim's second stint in county cricket after he played for Lancashire in 1998.
Hampshire had targeted Wasim's Pakistan team-mate Shoaib Akhtar, but were discouraged from pursuing him because of potential international commitments for the world's fastest bowler.
