Zimbabwe have progressed to the Super Six at England's expense after rain forced their match against Pakistan to be abandoned. .

A Pakistan victory would have brought England into the equation with net run-rate the deciding factor.

But two points from the match's abandonemnt were sufficient to see Zimbabwe through.

14th over: Inzamam's horror run continues as he picks out Whittall at deep mid-wicket to fall for three. Pakistan: 72-3

13th over: Anwar survives after Ervine, running with the flight of the ball, spills the chance at square-leg.

12th over: Anwar lashes out at Ervine, sweeping for four before lofting over mid-wicket for three. Inzamam takes strike.

11th over: Anwar flicks Streak backward of square and to the fence. The Zimbabwe skipper hits back with the wicket of Youhana, caught behind for 17. Pakistan: 55-2

10th over: Play resumes and second ball Youhana plays in front of square for three.

9th over: Streak continues his spell amid swirling winds and light rain. The skipper goes for four runs in his fifth over.

8th over: Anwar finds Hondo more to his liking, charging down the pitch and hoicking over extra cover for six. Youhana ends the over with a four to long-on.

7th over: Anwar swings forcefully at Streak but he cannot get bat on ball.

6th over: A maiden from Hondo after Youhana dances down the pitch and swings wildly, but misses.

5th over: Streak strays down off-side. inviting Anwar to drive for four. Sharp fielding in the covers later in the over prevents another.

4th over: Youhana cuts elegantly again but third man is wide, restricting Pakistan to just a single.

3rd over: Youhana ponders a risky second run after cutting past point, but thinks again as third man runs around and whips in a fast return.

2nd over: Hondo's first ball, over-pitched outside off, is driven by Elahi for four. Hondo hits back two balls later, trapping the right-hander in front of his stumps. Pakistan: 4-1

1st over: The sun peeks out of the clouds as Streak opens for the hosts. Confusion as Elahi sets off at the non-striker's end, is sent back by Anwar and just makes his ground.

Zimbabwe: DD Ebrahim, CB Wishart, A Flower, GW Flower, GJ Whittall, T Taibu, AM Blignaut, HH Streak (capt), DA Marillier, SM Ervine, Douglas T Hondo.

Pakistan: Saeed Anwar, Saleem Elahi, Azhar Mahmood, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Yousuf Youhana, Younis Khan, Rashid Latif, Mohammad Sami, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis (capt), Shoaib Akhtar.

Umpires: BF Bowden, EAR de Silva.
