Having made his one-day debut almost 15 years ago, Akram Khan brings a lot of experience to the squad.
The right-handed batsman is a former captain, leading Bangladesh 15 times and to victory in the 1997 ICC Trophy.
A member of Bangladesh's 1999 World Cup squad, Khan is a big hitter of the ball.
He was at his best in the 2000 Asia Cup, when he and Naimur Rahman scored nearly 100 runs in the last 10 overs against India to speed Bangladesh to their highest score, 249 for six.
