McCullum is a young up-and-coming wicket-keeper who will be looking to make his mark at the World Cup.
He made his debut against Australia, but began as just an opening batsman, leaving the role with the gloves to Adam Parore.
The Otago star scored just five runs but has since made a 37 and 29 and McCullum knows he will have to score consistently if New Zealand are to progress in South Africa.
To help him in that regard he has made some technical changes to his batting.
However he has yet to reap rewards and if he fails to add depth to the batting he could lose his place to part-time wicket-keeper Lou Vincent.
That said and despite his shaky start to international cricket, he is widely regarded as a player New Zealand hope to base their side around over the next decade.
