Kennedy Otieno
Kennedy Otieno
Born: 11/03/72
Team: Aga Khan Sports Club
ODI debut: 18/02/96
Past World Cups: 1996

Right-handed batsman
Right-arm medium-fast bowler

Otieno is a vital cog in the Kenya batting machine.

He made his official one-day international debut against India at the 1996 World Cup - although Otieno played in the 1994 and 1997 ICC Trophies.

The 30-year-old's highest score came against Bangladesh in 1997 when he smashed 144, and shared a world record 225 opening partnership with Deepak Chuasama.

Two years later, he hit the same country for 120.

If Otieno can reproduce some of that form at the 2003 World Cup then he will greatly bolster an already strong Kenya batting line-up.
