Younis Khan
Born: 29/11/77
Team: Habib Bank
ODI debut: 13/2/00
Past World Cups: -

Right-handed batsman
Right-arm leg-break bowler

A prolific batsman with a growing reputation, Younis is the mainstay of the middle order.

The fearless right-hander combines flamboyance with grit to almost always produce runs when it matters.

He made his international debut against Sri Lanka in 1999/00, scoring a respectable 46, and since then has gone from strength to strength.

His progress can be seen by the fact that 12 of his 14 half-centuries came in 2002 in a year in which he passed 1,000 runs.

The 25-year-old also aspires to being a leg-spin bowler, although he seems to be more accomplished as a fielder.

In the 2001/02 Asian Test Championship, he took a world-record four catches in one innings as substitute during Pakistan's demolition of Bangladesh.
