Lou Vincent
Lou Vincent
Born: 11/11/78
Team: Auckland
ODI debut: 06/02/01
Past World Cups: -

Right-handed batsman
Wicketkeeper

Vincent made a huge impact on his Test debut in 2001, when he opened the batting with Mark Richardson and made a maiden century against Australia.

He then went on to make a half-century in the second innings to become only one of a handful of players to score 100 and a 50 on debut.

The Auckland player is still on a learning curve and despite the fact he is an obvious talent, it is uncertain what role he will play at the World Cup.

It is likely that he will be employed in the middle order and that his dynamism in the field will be used in a run-saving position.

Alternatively, the part-time wicketkeeper may be asked to don the gloves and bat high up the order.
