ODI debut: 3/10/01
Past World Cups: -

Right-arm fast bowler
Right-handed batsman

The youngster has burst on the scene in the past year and is an exciting prospect.

He has taken to international cricket like the proverbial duck to water and already has three four-wicket hauls to his name.

The first, when he finished with his best figures of four for 37 against India, came in only his third match.

The other two came in the ICC Champions Trophy where he finished as the second-highest wicket-taker.

Hondo finished with eight scalps from outings against India and England compared to Muttiah Muralitharan's 10 in five matches.

But as well as being able to take wickets, he bowls with great accuracy which is of equal importance in limited overs in cricket.
