The Belle Vue Leisure Centre had a complete makeover in order to be ready for the hockey event.
Two international standard water-based pitches have been built as well as a number of additional facilities - an indoor sports hall, cricket academy and a multi-media conference centre for use in the future.
The venue is less than five minutes from Sportcity.
