Post-competition verdict:

The Welsh woman has dominated her sport for a decade and brought disabled athletics kicking and screaming into the public attention.

Having only recently given birth to a baby daughter, Grey-Thompson struggled to keep up with the pace of her rivals on the track.

In her only event the 800m she finished fourth and just out of the medals.

With better preparation she looks capable of recapturing her track best.
