The Channel Islanders have been at every Games since 1958 and have picked up a total of four medals, their solitary gold coming in the full bore rifle from Colin Mallett in 1990.

Mallett came closest of a team of 19 that failed to pick up any medals in Kuala Lumpur, and will compete again this summer.

Did you know?
Sport in Jersey is defined by the Island Games which are hosted every two years.

Back in 1997, the only time the Channel Islanders have hosted the Games, Jersey’s sharp shooters had to lend their own guns to their rivals from St Helena to enable them to compete.
