Cyprus-born American football kicker Garo Yepremian was one of the most unlikely sports stars of all time.
Yepremian went to America in the 1960s when he was 22 in an attempt to get a gridiron scholarship having never played the game.
He failed but was picked up by the Detroit Lions as a kicker and went on to become the ninth highest points-scorer in NFL history.
