The British Virgin Islands competed in the Games for the first time in Victoria, Canada, in 1994 and also sent a team of four athletes to Malaysia.
No medals as yet but they have put on a strong showing in the sprints.

She steered her Virgin Gorda side to a place in the final to go with a third-place league finish.
