Reginald Lake (fullbore rifle)

St Helena’s first Games were in 1998 when they sent a team of two to Malaysia.

The whole island collected money to send Simon Henry and Patrick Young to compete in the men’s fullbore rifle event and they finished 37th and 44th respectively.

This year a different duo will make the trip to take part in the same event.

Did you know?
In total it will take five weeks for St Helena’s competitors to get to Manchester.

Most of that time will be spent on a boat getting to Cape Town, South Africa, where they can get a flight to England.
