Ghana have taken part in 10 games since 1958 and picked up a total of 46 medals.

Boxing has brought several medals down the years, including their only gold of 1998 when light heavyweight Raymond Narh triumphed in Kuala Lumpur.

Their team of 35 in Malaysia brought home four other medals.

Did you know?
Although Ghana have not entered the rugby sevens tournament in Manchester, the sport is taking off in the country.

Accra RFC are the only current club side and have to play against neighbouring countries - Benin, Togo and the Ivory Coast - and British and French Navy ships in order to find fixtures.
