Australia have qualified first from Pool D following a 19-12 win over Fiji. The Australians attacked from the off to open up a 19-0 lead. And despite Fiji's valiant efforts to pull back the deficit, the gap proved too substantial and the defeat means Fiji will face England in the quarter-finals. In Saturday's opening encounter, Malaysia and Trinidad and Tobago both broke their scoring ducks. However, it was Malaysia who also broke their points duck with a 45-7 win over the Caribbean side.
