Diane Modahl

Diane Modahl feels that her hometown of Manchester will host a terrific games.

Diane has a love-hate relationship with the Commonwealth Games.

She won the 800m gold in the Games in 1990 but four years later she was sent home following unfounded accusations that she had taken testosterone.

As well as casting a keen eye on events on the track, Diane will also interested in the boxing - her cousin is Chris Eubank, and she will be rooting for light heavyweight champion Courtney Fry.

Diane will be part of the BBC's main reporting team at the Games and will also be co-hosting North West Tonight's Commonwealth Games desk.
