Geoff Huegill wins his second gold of the Games

Geoff Huegill completed a double as he took his second gold medal of the Games in the 100m butterfly.

The powerful Australian set off at world record pace, but faded slightly to tie the event mark of 53.26.

"I hit the wall on 18 (strokes), you know that if your strokes out you can't do anything about it," he said.

"So I just had to charge pretty hard to bring it home.

"I was more relaxed and more together last night," he said of his semi-final performance. "I don't know whether it's nerves or what."

Canadian Mike Mintenko took silver in 52.80 just ahead of Australian Adam Pine, who clocked 53.02.

English hope James Hickman was in bronze medal position until the final stages, but had to be content with fourth spot in a time of 53.32.

Australia's Ben Austin won the 100m multi-disability freestyle, smashing the his classification's world record by 1.26 seconds to take gold.

Three other swimmers broke world records. South Africa's Scott Field took silver, and David Roberts of Wales took bronze to win his country's first medal in the pool.

Benoit Huot of Canada was unfortunate - beating the world record in his disability classification by 0.08 seconds, yet still finishing fourth.

Medals in the multi-disability event are awarded after a comparison between each swimmer's time and the world record in the disability category.
