Barry Davies
Barry Davies
Barry will cover a variety of events at the Games
Barry Davies is one of the most experienced and versatile BBC commentators - his broadcasting career spans over 40 years.

Davies will be chalking up his seventh appearance at the Commonwealth Games this summer and will be commentating on gymnastics.

He will also be bringing viewers action from the hockey pitch as well as the excitement of Manchester's Opening and Closing ceremonies.

The Commonwealth Games will be the third major sporting event covered by Davies this summer - he has also covered the World Cup and Wimbledon in the last few weeks.

Match of the Day's longest-serving commentator, he also covers ice skating, badminton and rowing.

Barry was also part of the BBC's award-winning Sydney Olympics team.
