Azinger's Ryder Cup debut came at The Belfry
Azinger has had an astonishing last decade, and will be a popular wild card choice.

He firmly established himself on the world stage when he won the USPGA Championship in 1993, beating Greg Norman in a play-off.

He was then diagnosed with lymphoma in the right shoulder blade in December of that year, which put his successful career on hold.

But Azinger has returned to good health and fine form and in the last three years has picked up the Sony Open and a number of top 10 finishes, including a second at the 2001 Memorial Tournament and a fourth spot at the 2002 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.
