He won his first cap in 1991 at Kiawah Island and picked up 11/2 points for Europe there. Two years later, at The Belfry, Monty had a superb tournament, scoring 31/2 points although he still ended on the losing side. His Ryder Cup luck was soon to change as he helped Europe to two consecutive victories and crucially halved his singles match with Scott Hoch to confirm victory for Seve Ballesteros' side in 1997. |
