Bernhard Langer
Langer missing that putt for a tie in 1991 at Kiawah Island
A veteran of the Ryder Cup, Langer has played more matches than anyone else in either the European or American team.

His consistency over the years has made him a certainty in every Ryder Cup since 1981, except the last tournament at Brookline, where he missed out on a wild card entry.

Langer missed a six-footer in his singles match against Hale Irwin which cost Europe the Ryder Cup at Kiawah Island back in 1991.

The devout Christian has however helped Europe to five victories, a brilliant feat by any player's standards.
