Alex Tudor

Alex Tudor
Right-arm fast bowler
Right-handed batsman

Born: 23 October 1977
County: Surrey
Test appearances: 10
Debut: v Australia 1998

A fast bowler of great potential, Tudor has been in and around the England set-up for four years.

He was called into the Ashes squad to replace the injured Darren Gough.

Tudor had previously been on three senior tours, shining in his debut Test against Australia at the Waca when he dismissed both Waugh brothers.

His progress has been plagued by injuries and a lack of consistency, but he performed well at the Academy last winter and only just missed out on a place in the original squad.
