Martin Love

Martin Love
Right-handed batsman
Right-arm off-spin bowler

Born: 30 March 1974
State: Queensland
Test appearances: 1
Debut: v England 2002

In terms of matches played and runs accumulated, Love was the most experienced Australian on Test debut.

The Queenslander, who has also played county cricket for Durham, had played 129 matches and scored more than 10,000 runs before wearing the Baggy Green for the first time.

And over the course of England's tour, the dependable middle-order batsman has been a thorn in the tourist's side.

Two double centuries in the warm-up matches and an unbeaten 62 in the Test suggest the Australian production line has found another winner.
