Jason Gillespie

Jason Gillespie
Right-arm fast bowler
Right-handed batsman

Born: 19 April 1975
State: South Australia
Test appearances: 38
Debut: v West Indies 1996

Gillespie - or "Dizzy" as he's known to his team-mates - is the unluckiest bowler on the Test circuit.

Never mind the injuries, I'm talking about when he actually plays!

He constantly beats the bat and deserves many more wickets than those he has picked up down the year.

And he's not only unlucky but also under-rated.

His pace is up with the real quickies in the world game and his control is on a par with the best - not a bad combination in all.
