1954/55 - Melbourne, 3rd Test
31 December, 1, 3, 4 & 5 January
England won by 128 runs

The Melbourne Test was played out in a similar fashion to the preceding Sydney meeting.
On that occasion, Frank Tyson blew the hosts away on the final day when Australia required 223 to win.
In Melbourne the target was 240, but the outcome was the same - an England victory with Tyson to the fore.
The MCG track was a bowler's paradise, Keith Miller exploiting damp conditions on the opening day to record figures of three for 14 from 11 overs.
Colin Cowdrey, and then Peter May in England's second innings, were the only batsmen to get to grips with the pitch.
Australia needed someone to stand up in kind on the final day.
Resuming at 75 for two, the scene was set for Geoff Appleyard's off-spin in a duel against Australia's batsmen.
But Tyson and Brian Statham stepped in before Appleyard came on.
Within an hour and 20 minutes the match was over, eight wickets falling for 36 runs.
