Adelaide Oval
Second Test 21-25 November

Perched in the driest state in the driest continent on Earth may sound like purgatory to any self-respecting Pom, but Adelaide is one of the best cities to relax in and watch cricket.

Most of the action in central Adelaide takes place on Rundle Mall although, if you like your nights out more rough and ready, head to the other end of the road on Rundle Street.

Here there are whole raft of places to eat, drink and be merry from the elegantly-refined to the downright scruffy and seedy.

Another pleasant way to spend an evening is to head off to the seaside suburb of Glenelg, where there are plenty of decent beaches to relive the day's play and numerous bars to sink a few beers as the sun sets.

One word of warning for those arriving pasty-faced from an English winter - bring plenty of sun-cream as the temperature has reached 42°C in the shade before now.

But do not get too laid back after the Test finishes as it is a case of 'Go West young man'.

There are just three days to get to Perth for the third Test - a mere 40 hours of driving over the Nullabor Plain.
