Two second-half Kevin McDonald penalties completed a handsome victory for Alloa Athletic over Ayr United.

The Wasps went in front when James Lister headed Darren Smith's cross into the net from six yards on 16 minutes.

Chris Smith levelled 11 minutes later but Bryan Prunty's drilled shot ensured a 2-1 half-time lead for the hosts.

Fouls in the visitors' penalty area on Smith and Scott Walker allowed McDonald to convert from 12 yards on 53 and 64 minutes respectively.
