Taylor warms up for Sport Relief mile

Graham Taylor during his Aston Villa days Former England manager Graham Taylor has been putting in some warm weather training as he prepares to take part in Sport Relief next month.

Taylor, who is working at the World Cup as a summariser for BBC Five Live, will run the Sport Relief Mile in Birmingham on Saturday 15 July.

And he is hoping there will be no repeat of the heatwave that has affected teams in the early group games in Germany.

"The heat has proved to be a genuine factor so far," said Taylor.

"I'm hoping for a nice day, but not a hot day when I do the mile.

"If the sun gets out you'll certainly see a low-tempo performance from me!"

You can be part of the biggest mile in history by signing up NOW!

Or you can call 0845 6058000 and leave your details to get your Sport Relief Mile entry kit.

Calls should cost no more than 3p a minute from a BT line. Other operators and mobile charges may vary.

There are 15 National Miles on Sport Relief Saturday July 15th in...

Belfast, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Hull, Ipswich, Leeds, London, Manchester, NewcastleGateshead, Nottingham, Plymouth and Southampton.

We also hope to have many more local miles packed into every corner of the UK - so there should be a Sport Relief Mile close to you.
