Watson breaks into world top 50
Guernsey teenage tennis star Heather Watson has broken into the top 50 of the junior world rankings.
The 16-year-old's win at the Yucatan World Cup in Mexico last week has seen her rise to number 34 in the world.
"The goal at the beginning of the year was always to get inside the top 50," her mother Michelle told BBC Guernsey form their base in Florida.
"She can now get into the main draws of the four grand slams by her own rankings," she added.
And Mrs Watson says Heather's aims are now moving even higher.
"It has been planned in her tournament schedule for her to start playing senior tournaments after the Australian Open series"

"Now her goal is to go up another 20 places. It's realistic now, it can be achieved. She was thinking 'may be I can' at the start of the year, now she is thinking 'of course I can'."
And she says that with Heather's success she is starting to prepare to play in tournaments on the senior circuit, rather than just junior events.
"January is the Australian Open junior trip and when she comes back she'll start playing women's tournaments.
"It has been planned in her tournament schedule for her to start playing senior tournaments after the Australian Open series."
