Jelena Jankovic says being crowned Wimbledon champion would mean more to her than winning any other Grand Slam.
The Serbian, ranked third in the world, told BBC London 94.9: "For me if I could choose which Grand Slam I would like to win I would choose Wimbledon."
"It's a very special place. I don't think there is a place like this.
"It's just an amazing tournament overall and all of the players love coming back here and we all would love to do well and have a great result."
The 23-year-old, number two seed in the women's singles at Wimbledon this year, has recently recovered from an injury but is positive about her chances in the Championships.
Jankovic added: "I feel good now, I had some injuries and I was also sick before this tournament but now I'm OK and really look forward to competing in Wimbledon and hopefully having a great tournament."
But her recent bout of ill-health has meant she will only compete in the singles event and will be unable to defend her mixed doubles title, which she won with Britain's Jamie Murray in 2007.

"I will be cheering him on and he's a great guy, great person and I just hope he can go all the way."
Meanwhile French Open champion and world number one Ana Ivanovic does not think it will be easy to repeat her Roland Garros success in SW19.
"I think the Williams sisters play very well on grass and Maria Sharapova has a game that suits grass very well," she said.
"I think they're playing very good at the moment but there are also many young girls that are coming up and can be very dangerous on grass.
"Obviously I have a good game and I beat most of them before and I would really like to be able to keep the form from Paris and stay here the whole two weeks.
"The last few weeks gave me a lot of confidence, so I'm very, very excited about the new challenges. I also think I'm a more experienced player. But still there are things in my game that I have to work on and improve.
"Obviously to be number one it's a great, great position and it's a dream coming true. But still I want to work hard and keep that position as long as I can."
