Andy Murray remains committed to playing for Great Britain in the Davis Cup despite pulling out of next week's tie in Argentina, says John Lloyd.
The British number one has withdrawn from the World Group fixture in Buenos Aires with a knee injury.
Murray has been told that switching to clay courts could risk further injury.
"He's played in all the matches that I've been involved in so far, so as far as I'm concerned he is [committed]," GB captain Lloyd told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"He says he's very disappointed and obviously I take him at his word on that. I don't think he would pull out unless there was an injury, why would he? This is a great occasion for him."

Lloyd, who revealed he had not been called by Murray and had to find out the news through a third party, added: "I think he's very disappointed, he says he is, and we're waiting to hear from him.
"The team is very disappointed but what can you do? It's one of those things."
The remaining members of the British squad face an almost impossible task when they take on the highly-ranked Argentines at the 15,000-capacity clay-surfaced Parque Roca in Buenos Aires from 8-10 February.
"It will be Alex Bogdanovic and Jamie Baker in the singles, and Jamie Murray and Ross Hutchins in the doubles," said Lloyd.

"The team picks itself now, no surprises. They know their positions and what they have to do and we'll adjust our practise sessions accordingly, that's all we can do."
Argentina will be led by world number 10 David Nalbandian, alongside Juan Monaco (21), Agustin Calleri (41) and Jose Acasuso (58).
In contrast, Bogdanovic is ranked 187 in the world, with Baker at 239, while Jamie Murray is 36th in the doubles standings and Hutchins 94th.
Confidence is clearly high among the home side, with Acasuso saying: "I think that with Murray in the team they were not the favourites, without Murray they have no chance.
"Andy Murray was the main rival for Argentina to beat, but now Argentina is the clear favourite to win the tie."
