Wimbledon on the BBC

BBC WEBSITE

This year's Wimbledon Championships will be broadcast live on the BBC Sport website for the first time.

The service will be available to UK broadband users and will mirror terrestrial and interactive coverage. So if it is live on TV, it will be on the web. Find out how to get broadbandHaving problems? Check our help pages

Three-minute highlight packages rounding up each day's play will also be available to a global audience (ie no UK-only restrictions).

There will also be the usual comprehensive package of live coverage available on the site as well as on Ceefax, Digital Text and WAP-enabled phones. How to set up your mobile

BBC TELEVISION

Live coverage of the 2006 Championships begins on BBC TWO on Monday 26 June at 1200 BST.

Sue Barker will once again host proceedings, with expert analysis provided by John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Pat Cash, Michael Stich, Tracy Austin and Virginia Wade.

The nightly highlights programme, Today at Wimbledon, this year starts at the earlier time of 2000 BST on BBC TWO, hosted by John Inverdale. See our editors' blog for more on our coverage

Coverage from Centre Court and Court One will be available for the first time in high definition, for those with HD ready televisions, HD set-top boxes and HD services from their satellite (Sky EPG - Channel 145) or cable providers. The coverage is part of a year-long pan-platform BBC trial.

The action from Wimbledon and the World Cup will be shown on the BBC's big screens in Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Rotherham, Bradford, Plymouth and Canary Wharf. Find out more about the big screens

And BBCi's interactive service allows viewers across all digital platforms to choose between up to five live games.

Digital satellite (Sky) and cable (NTL/Telewest) viewers will be able to watch the action from up to four different courts as well as the live broadcast on BBC ONE or TWO, while Freeview offers a choice of two extra courts.

And viewers can now plan their viewing by using the new scheduler, which shows what matches will be coming up next on the interactive service.

BBC RADIO FIVE LIVE

Simon Mayo and Clare Balding host daily coverage of Wimbledon and the World Cup from 1230 BST.

Former doubles stars Leander Paes and Todd Woodbridge join the commentary team, which also includes Michael Stich, Pat Cash and Andy Murray's mum Judy.

John McEnroe will present the phone-in show Six-Love-Six on Wednesday 28 June and Thursday 6 July.

And as soon as there is a rain break, Five Live plans to take over Centre Court and host a live forum allowing the crowd to grill the experts.
