Dushevina sets up Mauresmo clash
Australian Open champion Amelie Mauresmo will face Vera Dushevina on Wednesday in her first match at the Open Gaz de France in Paris.
Russia's Dushevina, ranked 46th in the world, set up the meeting after a 7-6 (7-4) 6-0 first-round victory over Croatia's Ivana Lisjak on Tuesday.
Mauresmo, who is the top seed, received a bye into the second round.
India's Sania Mirza caused the first upset by beating sixth seed Flavia Pennetta of Italy 6-2 7-6 (7-5).
Spain's Anabel Medina Garrigues ousted Italian Tathiana Garbin and will face second seed Mary Pierce.
France's Virginie Razzano beat Kveta Peschke of the Czech Republic and next plays defending champion Dinara Safina.
