Are Leicester England's greatest club?

Are Leicester the greatest English club side of all time?
Leicester have crowned a magnificent season with victory over Stade Francais in the European Cup final.

Are they England's greatest ever club?

Have Your Say

The Tigers outlasted everyone in the Zurich Premiership for the third consecutive season.

In a treble winning season they have added the Heineken Cup to the Zurich Premiership and the Zurich Championship.

Have Leicester proved themselves to be the best in club rugby?

And are they England's greatest side ever?

Have Your Say

Tigers are the best team in Europe. They're the best club side that the UK has seen without a doubt. Thank you to the great Deano. The only question is how long will it be before the rest of British rugby can catch up?
R Hemmings, England

I doubt they can really be called the greatest. They are very good of course but the pack was often on the back foot in the European final and they rarely win with flair. I think that they are the best at the moment but they also benefit from having a number of international players with huge amounts of experience, that no longer play international rugby, the front row is a good example of this as is Tim Stimpson. This gives the Tigers extra strength over teams whos players are required for international duty.

Leicester Tigers have a history of strong teams and success. The current team proved they are the best ever by the way they kept coming back from behind. And particularly as they were playing on a 'neutral'ground that happens to be over the road from Stade Francais home ground! And the future is looking great with young players like Leon Lloyd coming through. Well done to everyone at Tigers, it is well deserved. Here's to plenty more success in the future.
Catherine Watkins, England

They are to British rugby what Tiger Woods is to world golf.
Doug Booth, UK

Best English team ever.... hard to say, best team of their era? Without a doubt. They are to British rugby what Tiger Woods is to world golf. The goalposts have been officially moved by Johnson & Co.
Doug Booth, UK

Without doubt they are the best there has ever been. Their performances just go to show how turning professional has improved the game in Europe.
Fred, England

Leicester are the greatest. Not only did were they crowned the European Champions they did it at an away venue. Greatest Club supported by the greatest set of fans.
Nick Dry, England

They are the best team in Europe over the last couple of years. However, I think their domination is just an indication of how bad the other teams are rather than how good Leicester are.
Jeff Scholey, UK

They are not completely unbeatable, but they are definitely England's and Europe's greatest team.
Martin O'Nion, England

I think it has been proved by three consecutive premiership titles that the Tigers have become the Man Utd of rugby. The play-off was a farce. It meant that the league wasn't even worth playing, but Tigers won it with their reserve team out. The strength in depth that they have, the organisation and leadership they have on and off the field, and the way that they have adjusted to the proffesional game show that they are the creme de la creme of English rugby. The record that they hold at Welford Road of over 40 months without a loss at the ground proves them to be the best. They are not completely unbeatable, but they are definately England's and Europe's greatest team.
Martin O'Nion, England

Without doubt the best club side in history. After watching Northampton struggle last year when in contention for three trophies many said that to succeed on all fronts was impossible. Dean Richards has shown that with a superb squad able to rotate each week, and an exceptional belief within the players and desire to win for each other, the impossible can be achieved. Leicester have always been the benchmark in profesesional rugby, and I doubt this feat will ever be surpassed. This Tigers team, including all the management, coaches and backroom staff, are truly the greatest club side in history. Well done lads!
