Battle of the DJs

TEXT VOTE TOTALS

  • Moyles: 123,389
  • Mills: 61,813

Radio One's loudest and proudest presenters went head to head to raise money for Sport Relief '04.

Chris Moyles and Scott Mills lined up in the starting blocks for the Fitness First Sport Relief Mile on Saturday.

But the most important part of their final week of preparations was a mobile face-off, pitting the two high profile radio DJs against each other.

Their challenge? Get as many people as possible to back their bid to Go the Extra Mile.

Chris, who ran in Leeds, and Scott, who did the Southampton Mile, encouraged listeners of their show to send a text pledging support for their favourite DJ.

The result was a staggering total of more than 185,000 text votes in the space of a week.

The tally raised £129,641 for Sport Relief.
