Pontypridd legend Dale McIntosh has committed himself to another year as a player with the Sardis Road club.
Although missing much of last season with injuries, including the Welsh Cup final win over Neath, the 36-year-old believes he still has much to offer.
"I have been consulting fully with our coaches Simon King and Paul John," McIntosh told the club's website.
"The decision to retain my services as a player was one that we all agreed upon. My body is still in fine fettle."
'The Chief', as he is fondly known, has made 428 appearances for Pontypridd and served three seasons as club captain.

Although born and bred in New Zealand, lock-cum-flanker McIntosh joined the club in 1989 and has become synonymous not just with Pontypridd rugby but with all rugby in the south Wales valleys.
He elected to represent his adopted homeland, winning two senior caps for Wales against South Africa in 1996 and England the following year.
McIntosh is also employed as a development officer with the Blues region, but is not yet willing to give up playing the game.
"I have no problem with training and maintaining my fitness levels, and I certainly don't lack motivation," he added.
"Most importantly I am still enjoying my rugby - when I stop enjoying it, my boots will definitely go in the bin."
