Scotland's women have finished sixth in the IRB Women's Rugby World Cup in Canada.
They lost their play-off match against the US 24-0 at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton in what proved to be a bruising encounter.
Pam Kosanke scored 14 of the US' points, including a try, three conversions and a penalty.
Scotland were 17-0 down at half-time but managed to stem the flow of US points in the second half.
Playing their 100th match, Scotland Women had a late rally but failed to make their improved play count.
Rachel Nicholson came off the bench to win her first cap in a game that could be the last for some of the senior members of the squad.
