Ulster's experimental team proved no match for a virtually full-strength Warriors side in a pre-season match at Ravenhill on Wednesday night.

Worcester were in command at half-time with a William Bowley converted try and a penalty from fly-half Matthew Jones.

Quick-fire tries by Netani Talei and Powell and a penalty by Loki Crichton put the Warriors further ahead.

Ulster's Ian Humphreys converted a consolation try by winger Mark McCrea to add to an earlier penalty.

Jones popped over his opening penalty in the first minute and followed that up by converting a try out of the blue from lock Bowley when Ulster's defence went walkabout following a scrum in the 15th minute.

Worcester's new Aussie full-back Chris Latham was his customary self with some robust running and he was unlucky not to pick up a try when he was put clear only to be called back for a forward pass.

While the Warriors had a monopoly of the few chances that were going, Humphreys did manage to ping over a penalty in first-half injury time.

The Warriors increased their lead five minutes after the restart when a sweeping movement ended with number eight Talei getting in at the right-hand corner.

Worcester's third try came in the 53rd minute with scrum-half Powell slipping over.

Replacement Rob Dewey finally broke down the Warriors defence to slip a scoring pass to left-wing McCrea.

Worcester replacement Loki Crichton finished the scoring with an angled penalty in the 68th minute.
