Tom Willis has warned his Dragons side not to dwell on their opening day Magners League defeat to Glasgow.

The Dragons skipper has told his men to take their frustrations out on Llanelli Scarlets in Wednesday's Welsh derby.

"There's nothing wrong with our squad or the side so we've got to move on as there's no time to dwell," said Willis, after a frustrating Dragons debut.

"It was disappointing but there's another big game in just a few days and we have to bounce back."

Glasgow outside-half Dan Parks kicked four penalties as the visitors defeated the Dragons four penalties to two.

" Poor game, the Dragons give their all but lack quality "

James Arlidge and Shaun Connor kicked the points as the hosts secured a consolation bonus point at Rodney Parade.

New Zealand star Willis, a summer addition, admitted: "The game was very challenging after so much rain but we failed to play to the conditions and we lost the ping-pong kicking battle."

Coach Paul Turner was disappointed that his underdog Dragons failed to start the new season with a victory, especially in front of their home fans.

"We needed territory but they got the possession," said Turner afterwards.

"And Parks kicked us to death which frustrated us.

"We have to take it on the chin, we were beaten by an efficient Glasgow side - they don't do a lot, but they do it well.

"We've come up short on a lot of issues and we put down a few chances when there was tries begging for us.

"We have got to learn because our kicking game wasn't good enough and we panicked.

"But I always said that this team would take some time to gel."
