Hougaard set to make Tigers debut
Leicester Tigers Springbok fly-half Derick Hougaard should be fit to make his debut for the club on Saturday.
Head coach Heyneke Meyer thinks the EDF Energy Cup tie with Bath will be a good initial test for the number 10.
"He needs game time and match fitness, so it's a good opportunity for him," Meyer told BBC Radio Leicester
"He's very tactical and an unbelievable kicker of the ball and can kick goals from 60 metres so he is definitely a match winner."
Meyer is likely to make several changes to the team which beat Northampton Saints in the Guinness Premiership on Wednesday.
"We don't have a lot of depth at the moment, so there are a few players I definitely want to rest.
"They've played a lot of rugby and it's a long season.
"There are also one or two guys coming back from injury".
BBC Radio Leicester has live commentary of Bath v Leicester Tigers from 1415 BST on DAB and online at bbc.co.uk/leicester
