Gloucester prop Paul Doran-Jones has praised club-mate Greg Somerville following his England selection.
Doran-Jones is a replacement for the clash with Argentina on Saturday.
The 24-year-old told the BBC: "Greg is the most capped All Black prop. His reputation speaks for itself and he has helped me a lot with his advice.
"I feel ready. The call-up was out of the blue but a testament to my form. I'm not experienced but what I don't have I can make up for in enthusiasm."
Doran-Jones went to Wellington College - where he first met England flanker James Haskell - before studying chemistry at Trinity College Dublin.
"All the England guys have been welcoming too, helping me with the calls and getting me up to speed"
While he was there, he spent four years with Leinster, and was selected for Ireland at Under-19 and Under-21 level.
He spent last season with Championship side London Welsh, before joining Gloucester in the summer.
"I've knuckled down and enjoyed the big club set-up at Gloucester," he said.
"I've worked a lot with the other props and that work is by no means finished. All the England guys have been welcoming too, helping me with the calls and getting me up to speed. What I've done so far will hopefully stand me in good stead. "
