Crockett set for injury lay-off

Alex Crockett

Bath club captain Alex Crockett is likely to be out for two or three weeks after injuring his hamstring in Saturday's 28-28 draw with Northampton.

The 27-year-old centre came off after 29 minutes of the Premiership clash.

Coach Steve Meehan told BBC Radio Bristol: "I said after last week's game just how important he is to the squad.

"He's a difficult guy to replace but fortunately we have enough good players here to step into his shoes and help develop our plan."

Meehan added: "Next week we expect Michael Claassens and Nick Abendanon to be back so that helps as well."
