Trimble returns to Ireland duty

Andrew Trimble has been included in an under strength 36-man squad for an Ireland training camp in Belfast later this month.

The squad does not included any of this year's British and Irish Lions squad while a number of other regulars are also missing.

Trimble is joined by other Ulster backs Isaac Boss, Darren Cave, Ian Whitten, Niall O'Connor and Paddy Wallace.

Ulster forwards Ryan Caldwell, Tom Court, Chris Henry are also included.

The camp takes place in Belfast from 26-29 July.

Further three-day camps will be staged in August and September.

The squad consists of players who were involved in the summer tours to North America and the Churchill Cup during May and June as well as several senior players who were not included for the summer tours.

Trimble missed Ireland's summer tour after undergoing a knee operation in late April.
