Premiership play-off line-up

Leicester skipper Martin Corry

The play-off semi-final line-up has been confirmed after a dramatic final day of the regular Premiership season.

Gloucester top the table after their win over West country rivals Bath and will play Leicester at Kingsholm on 18 May for a place in the final.

The unfancied Tigers sneaked into the top four after a last-gasp win over Harlequins at Welford Road.

Wasps finished in second place after thrashing Leeds to set up a home semi-final against third-placed Bath.

Your thoughts on an incredible last day in the Premiership

Play-off semi-finals (18 May):
Wasps v Bath (1400 BST)
Gloucester v Leicester (1630 BST)

1st GLOUCESTER

Gloucester Points 74 (15 wins)

Gloucester 8-6 Bath

Dean Ryan's men sealed top spot in the league for the third time in six years with victory over their West country rivals, James Simpson-Daniel's try proving the difference between the two sides at Kingsholm.

2nd WASPS

Wasps Points 70 (14 wins)

Leeds 28-45 Wasps

With Bath losing, Wasps' traditional end-of-season charge saw them sneak into second place which gave them a home semi-final. They have now won 12 out of 14 league games since Christmas.

3rd BATH

Bath Points 69 (15 wins)

Gloucester 8-6 Bath

Their win over Saracens last weekend meant that victory over Gloucester would have seen them top the table but alas for Steve Meehan's men, it was not to be. They will now have to pick themselves up for the trip to Adams Park.

4th LEICESTER

Leicester Points 64 (13 wins)

Leicester 31-28 Harlequins

Leicester went into the final day needing to claim a bonus-point win and other results to go their way - and that is exactly what happened. The Tigers were languishing in seventh at one point on the final day but a superb second-half fightback against Quins, capped by Tom Varndell's late score, meant that they moved up into fourth place ahead of Sale.

5th SALE

Sale Points 63 (14 wins)

Sale 7-17 London Irish

Sale needed to get something from the clash with London Irish but they put in a poor performance against the Heineken Cup semi-finalists and they miss out. A losing bonus-point would have been enough for Philippe Saint-Andre's side.

6th HARLEQUINS

Harlequins Points 63 (12 wins)

Leicester 31-28 Harlequins

A truly heartbreaking result for the Quins. They were in fourth place for long periods in the afternoon but they could not retain their lead against Leicester. Sixth place may also not be enough for a Heineken Cup spot - they need Bath beat to beat Worcester in the Challenge Cup final to secure their place.
