Pirates romp to Super Cup victory
Nicky Griffiths ran in four tries as the Cornish Pirates thrashed a young Launceston side 48-7 in the first match of the Cornwall Super Cup on Monday
Scrum half Griffiths scored a hat-trick in a nine-minute first-half spell as the Pirates ran riot at the Mennaye.
Brett Davey touched down twice, while new signing Bruce Cumming scored his first try for the Pirates.
All Blacks number eight Graham Smith scored his side's only try of the game, which was converted by Mike Provis.
