Wasps and England fly-half Danny Cipriani hopes he will be back playing by late November as he continues his recovery from injury.
The 20-year-old suffered a fracture dislocation of his right ankle against Bath in May and is keen to prove his fitness ahead of the 2009 Six Nations.
"Wasps and England have been very good - they just want to make sure I'm 100%," Cipriani told BBC Sport.
"Hopefully I will have time to put my place down and make the England team."
Cipriani is confident late November is a realistic target to return to the Wasps side.

"I don't want to do things by halves, I want to be fully fit and ready to go."
Cipriani is due to have his cast removed on Monday and he is looking forward to getting rid of his crutches.
"I'm getting it off on Monday and I just can't wait because I'll be in a boot that will be partially weight bearing and I can't wait to be walking," added Cipriani.
"I have the boot on for two weeks and from the first few weeks you know how quickly it's going to go."
Cipriani's injury ensured he had to watch from the sidelines as England suffered a mauling at the hands of New Zealand in the recent Tests.
"In hindsight, people might say it was a good tour to miss but I really wanted to go out there and be part of the team"
"I think the first game was close and there are a lot of positives to take out of it," added Cipriani.
"It's a hard place to go, it's the end of our season and we've played a lot more rugby than them. They are powerful from numbers 1-22 and they could all carry the ball.
"It's about a new process and a new team is building."
Cipriani's stock has risen quickly since he won his first cap against Wales in February, but he was quick to dispel the theory that New Zealand was a good tour to miss as his reputation did not suffer.
"I've always wanted to tour with England, it's been a dream of mine and it's something that's been taken away from me," he said.
"I really wanted to go and tour to New Zealand.
"In hindsight, people might say it was a good tour to miss but I really wanted to go out there and be part of the team."
