Rooney extends Wildcats deal
England A scrum-half Jamie Rooney has signed a new contract at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
The deal will keep the highly-rated 23-year-old at the club until November 2006.
Former Featherstone player Rooney said he was happy to repay the club for the faith they have shown in him.
"The Wildcats gave me a chance to play Super League and I am really pleased to have a three-year deal at the club that believed in me," he said.
"I am looking forward to building on the platform put in place last season and working with Shane and Tony to continue improving my game.
"I have had a great time with the England A side recently and hope to continue that trend by pushing for international honours along the way."
