Castleford Tigers have signed Huddersfield back row forward Stuart Jones for 2009.
The 26-year-old, whose Huddersfield contract expires at the end of the season, has agreed a one-year deal with the Super League's bottom side.
"I've had five years with Huddersfield and it is time for a new challenge and a new experience," said Jones.
He is expected to make his last appearance for the Giants in their game Warrington on Saturday.
Jones added: "Castleford are a club with a lot of ambition.
"They have the licence and they are looking to move on to the next stage and get into the top six and I am looking forward to helping them to achieve that."

He is the first English signing to be confirmed by Castleford for next year following the recruitment of overseas trio Rangi Chase, Dean Widders and Sione Faumuina.
But they are also being linked with Jones' Huddersfield team-mate Ryan Hudson and Bradford centre James Evans.
Coach Terry Matterson said: "We progressing on other fronts and we expect to be in a position to make further announcements in the coming weeks.
"Stuart has plenty of Super League experience but is still relatively young with his best years ahead of him.
"He has initially agreed a one-year deal but I am expecting him to be determined to win a longer one."
