England women miss out on final
England women have missed out on a place in the World Cup final, losing 16-4 to reigning champions New Zealand in the semi-final.
Wakefield Panthers winger Michelle Greenwood scored their only try in a bruising match, England's fourth game in eight days.
England now play the Pacific Islands on Friday in the third place play-off.
The Kiwis face Australia in Saturday's World Cup final before the men's semi-final between England and New Zealand.
